Following the chronological order, ‘ Black widow ‘ fits in the right after Captain America – Civil War (2016). Keeping in mind the series of events in both the movies, the placement of ‘black widow’ after the Civil War seems just appropriate.

‘Black widow’ aka Natasha Romanoff faces a rather threatening plot that dives back into the depths of time. Closely intertwined amongst the happenings of the Civil War, this does look like a continuation. Hell-bent on returning to her roots, Romanoff must get a sneak peek of her history as a spy and her tampered relationships. All of which took place before she stood strong as an avenger.
Florence Pugh’s Spectacular Performance in ‘Black Widow’ – Worth all the Praises
In an interview with ‘ Entertainment Tonight, ‘O-T Fagbenle was praised for his co-star, Florence Pugh. She embraces the role of an ‘annoying little sister’ to Natasha in the movie. Fagbenle expressed his excitement as he feels Florence aces her role as Yelena Belova. Marvel has an atypical fanbase worldwide, and with every movie, it seems to raise its benchmark a mile a minute. Leaving the audience yearning even for just a little more of the post-credits. Marvel has been endowed with an efficient bunch of talented souls, and here we have Florence already fitting well in that frame.
Pugh Elucidates the Storyline as ‘Horrifying.’
Though Pugh is excited about the movie, she sounded a bit sinistrous while delineating the plot. According to her, the storyline is very horrifying. She explains that the film features women who have been trained with the sole motive of being unstoppable killing machines. Pugh highlights her relationship with Natasha in the movie as an ‘annoying little sister.’ Being long lost, the duo has their roles carved out very intricately as they try to mend each other and fill up the empty spaces in each other’s lives.
Florence Pugh to Take the Lead
Yelena Belova will now appear more often as the tenure for Scarlett Johansson as ‘black widow’ draws to an end. This film will act as the platform to launch Pugh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Natasha’s death in Avengers – Endgame, the fans were expecting a farewell, but it didn’t go as planned. But MCU decided to leave its fans in awe as they have a whole new film, owing to the origin of black widow and now giving her the farewell that she deserves. As the curtains draw on Natasha as the ‘black widow,’ we see the Baton being handed over to Pugh. We know she’s great.. But we would like to see just how great she’d be.
Counting on “July” To be the Month!
Avengers – Endgame didn’t just stop to touch the hearts of the fans but left them with hope. The word ‘endgame’ did mean that we had to freeze our expectations. But MCU acts as a genie, granting those unexpressed wishes of its fans. The global pandemic was a threat to humanity but no less of a curse for the marvel family. The film planned to be released in 2020, but we faced the disappointment of the moment. With two trailers out by now, we can’t sit patiently anymore, and we’re counting on July to hold our hopes high till then.
