What Do We Know So Far?
The biggest surprise for the fans this year, without a doubt, was the return of Daisy Ridley to the Star Wars franchise as none other than Jedi Master Rey. After all, most fans just assumed the end of the Skywalker saga with Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.
Though, the fans never stopped hoping for a sequel. Granted, Rey had always been one of the fan-favorite characters since her first appearance in the video game Disney Infinity 3.0(2015). Understandably, the movie’s creators would try to use her character in one way or another.
Now here is the big question. When is it finally going to come out? Do we have any kind of release dates or not?
Let’s deep dive into all the information we have on the new movie and all the essential details that can clear some of our doubts about the new film.
Release Date Star Wars Franchise
The movie is scheduled to come out on May 22, 2026. Considering there will be no problems with the production team, that is. However, that is highly unlikely. I was thinking about how it was initially rumored to be released in December 2025 until it was inevitably pushed to the following year.
The story will likely be placed a decade after the end of Star Wars Episode X and with Daisy again returning to the franchise as Rey Skywalker. It is set to begin production in April 2024. Then again, take any information about dates with a grain of salt.
Are There Visuals Or Trailers For The Movie?
The answer to the above question is currently NO. Since the project is just in the pre-production phase of the making. Funnily enough, there has yet to be a movie title, too. Getting a trailer for the film is more likely an advent of the future.
With the new change of writers, who also happened to work on a previous hit series Peaky Blinders(2013-2022). Seeing what Steven Knight has in store for us is pleasantly exciting. But what it truly entails still is to be seen shortly.
