With the release of Dead to Me season 2 in May, the story ended on a cliffhanger, and there were many unanswered questions left that will get solved in its fourth installment. Fans are currently guessing what all they’ll get to see in season 3. Here are all the details that we’ve come across so far.
Is There a Season 3 for Dead To Me?
Surely! In July 2020, Netflix announced that the show would return for its third and final season. Even good things come to an end. Liza Feldman, the show’s creator, told Deadline that she never intended the show to be this long. She planned to wrap it up in season 2 itself.
Release Date of Dead To Me Season 3
Currently, Dead to Me season 3 is in the progress of filming. Liza announced on Twitter that the production is scheduled to kick start in May and that the cast and crew have been on it for most of the summer.
In August, Christina Applegate shared on Twitter that she was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She also shared that it has been a strange journey for her and that she is being supported by people who have the same illness. At the end of her post, she shared that she now asks for privacy and thanked everyone.
After this incident, Netflix announced that it was willing to give Applegate her privacy and has decided to pause the production of the show. The streaming giant said that they love and support her, and they’re willing to give her all the time and space she needs.
Currently, the status of filming or for how long it will remain on hold is unclear. If the episodes were shot in a sequence then, post-production work can be done, and we can expect to see some of the episodes by the fall of 2021. However, it is safer to expect season 3 to come by early 2022.
Number of Episodes in Dead To Me Season 3
No official news regarding the number of episodes has come out yet. Both season 1 and season 2 had 10 episodes, so; we can expect the same for season 3.
Who Will All Return in Dead to Me Season 3?
Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini will be back for sure. James Marden will also be back to play his character like Ben. As for the rest of the cast members, Sam McCarthy, Luke Roessler, Suzy Nakamura, Diana Maria Riva, and Brandon Scott will also be back. It is quite possible that we’ll get to see Jere Burns again.

Season 3 will disclose someone’s secret (the same was done in seasons 1 and 2). It is somebody else’s turn now. This installment will be about Ben’s reckoning, who abandoned the accident site while leaving Jen injured. He was romantically involved with Jen.
