The animated comedy F Is for Family, co-created by Bill Burr and Michael Price, has been a popular favorite since its debut in 2015, with a 93 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Bill Burr, Justin Long, and Laura Dern with Creators Bill Burr and Michael Price. After binge-watching all of the new episodes, many fans wonder if F Is for Family will return to Netflix for season 6.
What We Know
F Is for Family was renewed for a fifth season by Netflix in October 2020. The streaming service also stated that it would be the last installment, much to our disappointment as the audience thought that the show could have been much more if ran for a little more extended period. Season 6 will not be available on Netflix. That’s because, as Frank Murphy’s journey comes to a close in season 5, the show is coming to an end.
When Netflix renewed F was for Family for a fifth season in October 2020, the streaming provider also revealed that it would be the final installment. There was no explanation for the show’s discontinuation at the time, but the last episode of season 5 ties Frank’s journey together in such a manner that a sixth season may be redundant, but we wouldn’t mind if there were more episodes to come.
Unique Storyline of the Show
People like the show as the plot of the show was quite interesting. A middle-class father earning for his family working in a job which he hates, a mother trying to be the wife that society wants, also trying to be a parent according to the community, a kid who wants to have fun all the time, a teen full with love for rock-n-roll, and a little girl who is the apple of her father’s eye, these all are the strong points that make for the perfect show of 1970’s America.
Back when smoke was considered healthy, a child’s curfew was when the street lights went out, moms stayed at home, and the world revolved around sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. Watch how the middle-class American family typically held it together. The popular series resumed for its fifth season in November 2021, continuing the narrative of Frank Murphy and his troubled family.
Is a Return Possible for the Show?
It looks a return is out of the question due to the creators and main cast clearly denying a comeback. “Thank you to all the fans who watched this show,” Bill Burr, co-creator and star of F Is for Family, was reported by Variety as said at the time of its renewal.
Thanking Vince Vaughn, Ted Sarandos, Peter Billingsley, Victoria Vaughn, and all the talented writers, performers, animators, editors, and musicians involved in the show, making it an outstanding series. Special thanks are given to the great Mike Price (Captain of the Ship).
Maybe a Goodbye
It’s reasonable to say that F Is for Family viewers have grown loyal to the show since its debut, and although some may be sad to see it go, others will enjoy the fact that it was able to end on its terms. “F is for Family is ending after 5 seasons after such a great success!” one fan wrote on Twitter. Netflix has a great show. Six years have flown by!”
