Halloween month is gearing up for yet another gory thriller release. David Gordon Green’s slasher movie Halloween Kills is all set to open in theatres in the US on October 15, 2021. It is a continuation of the Halloween franchise and is its twelfth entry, acting as a sequel to the Halloween movie released in 2018.
Green has been joined by Scott Teems and Danny McBride in writing the screenplay for the movie. The movie once again brings the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, as Myers’ bloody rampage continues. Here are a few important details you should know.
The ‘Intense’ Final Trailer of Halloween Kills
The final trailer of Halloween Kills has got the fans talking excitedly about the movie. The theatrical trailer teases Myers’ rampageous outrage across Haddonfield. Moreover, the trailer also consists of Easter Eggs and alludes to various occurrences which the fans of the Halloween franchise and slasher movies can spot. Some of these include the return of the original characters from the initiation of John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise, including Lindsey Wallace.
In Halloween III, released in 1982, the movie had featured a Silver Shamrock mask, which makes its appearance in the recent trailer. From Halloween II, the upcoming release will also include the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where Laurie learns that Myers had made an escape and is on a rampage. The trailer makes use of the music stings used by John Carpenter, as Myers escapes from the fiery trap and is on a murderous outburst putting half of Haddonfield to death.
As Myers cuts his way across the town, Laurie intends to team up with Karen and Allyson to bring Myers down once and for all. When the house burns and the firefighters come across to put it down, Laurie screams in the trailer to let the house burn. She fears that they will end up saving Myers. But Myers emerges on his account, unscathed, and his murderous instincts have gone beyond limits.
As Laurie learns about Myers’ escape from the fire, she shockingly remarks that “A man couldn’t have survived that fire.” It implies that now Myers has gained greater leverage from the limitation of humankind to come out as something more sinister and evil. He is seen slaughtering millions of lives in Haddonfield, Illinois.

In the role of Laurie Strode, Jamie Lee Curtis will be leading the plan to bring down Myers.
