Horror movies enthusiasts, here is your cue. If you’re looking for horror movie suggestions, something that is crazy horror and includes a lot of bloodsheds. Well, this movie is for you then, because the movie that I’m talking about is just the right mix of all the mentioned elements.
The movie Hellraiser, released in 1987, is one of the most iconic horror movies. “The Hellbound Heart” is adapted in The movie. The novel was published in 1986 and is written by Clive Barker. The movie introduces a fictional character of Cenobites. These Cenobites are said to be from another dimension that can grant sadomasochistic pleasures to people who call them through the solving of the puzzle.
Plot
The movie’s storyline follows Frank, who purchases a puzzle that will open the doors to hell. He pieces the puzzle together, but he is killed by being torn apart. We see the demons putting up the box in its original place and leaving the place as if it was never touched. Later on in the story, we see Frank’s brother, Larry, and wife Julia moving into the house, unaware of all the incidents that took place. Julia had loved Frank in the past. Larry has a daughter, but she chooses to stay separately with her boyfriend.
Larry unknowingly awakens his brother, Frank, in a skinless form. Julia discovers the same and wishes to go back to her past lover. She agrees to bring home people to feed Frank so that he can restore his form to humans, and they can run away together. Later on in the movie, Julia is killed, and a lot of bloodshed takes place. Larry’s daughter fights all this and saves herself, and she tries to take back the puzzle and turn everything back.
She reverses the puzzle and puts it in a fire, but her stalker picks the box and transforms into a winged skeleton creature. In the end, we see the box reaching back to the person who sold it to Frank in the first place—indicating that it will all take place once again.
