Hollywood Stargirl is a Musical Drama Teen Romance film based on a screenplay. The movie is a sequel to the 2020 film Stargirl which was based on a novel. However, this movie is not based on the sequel of the Novel. The story follows the life of Stargirl, a charming young woman with a knack for music. But all her life she has been moving from one place to another for her Mom’s work. This time around her mom was hired as a Costume designer for a movie in Los Angeles meaning Stargirl has to relocate yet again. There she meets new friends who help her explore the extent of her musical talents and maybe even her romantic side.

The international fans of the movie need not fret as several popular streaming services should have the movie available on hand. Even if you are not comfortable with the Default language there must be several voice-over & subtitle options available based on your geographical location. You can stream the show on Disney+.
Unfortunately, there are no other platforms that offer the movie to stream. Furthermore, the show has an IMDB rating of 5.8 /10 and a rotten tomatoes rating of 100%. The movie premiered on Disney+ on the 3rd of June 2022, a Friday. The movie has a duration of 105 minutes or 1h 45m and has a rating of PG.
Plot Synopsis
Stargirl arrives in Los Angeles to follow her Mom’s new Job Opportunity. There she meets Evan and his brother Terrell who were in the process of making a sizzle reel. The reel to promote their upcoming movie and to supposedly find the budget for it. The brothers fall in love with her music and want Stargirl to make the songs for them and quite possibly act in the movie. Stargirl is hesitant as she has never been down either. Not professionally at least. The brothers convince Stargirl to come to visit their workplace where she finds Roxanne Martel. A one-hit-wonder who left the gig to become a producer. What’s more, she is the owner of the establishment Terrell work in. As in Terrell works for her.
Since her mom has a very tight schedule Stargirl is left with a lot of time on her hand so she decides to give the sizzle reel a try. After Roxane refuses to let the trio use her song for their reel Stargirl decided to write her own. It is later revealed that Roxanne did this specifically so that Stargirl would be motivated to find her talent. They finish the reel and it’s a huge success. Furthermore, they receive an offer of one million dollars to produce their movie. Just as things get good Stargirl gets to know that her mom found a different job in a different town meaning she has to leave Los Angeles. It took some convincing but Stargirl persuaded her mom to stay. The movie ends as Terrell begins filming his Movie which is titled “Tell Your Story”.

Up next we have American Actor Tyrel Williams as Terrell. Then we have American actress and comedian Judy Greer as Stargirl’s Mom Ana. Then we have American actress, model, and producer Uma Thurman as one-hit-wonder Roxanne Martel. Up next is American actress Sarayu Blue as an executive who is financing the movie, Priya Collins.
Should you Watch the Movie?
The movie has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That must mean the movie must be pretty darn good. The movie is all about self-discovery and what you can achieve if you put your mind to the task. There is also some romance and comedy mixed in to the story for that extra kick. So, the movie is excellent and anyone who watches it will not regret it afterward.
