Insidious is an American horror film series, which is created by James wan and Leigh channel. There are four films out by the franchise: insidious, which was released in 2010; insidious: chapter 2, which was released in 2013; insidious: chapter 3, which was released in 2015; insidious: the last key, which was released in 2018. The first two movies revolve around a couple whose son suddenly goes into a state of coma and becomes a vessel for ghosts to enter.
The third film is a remake and focuses on the same story, but this time it’s a young girl who is believed to be dead, and the fourth one follows her when her own family becomes haunted.
Release Date of Chapter 5
It is good news for all the fans out there that chapter 5 of Insidious is officially confirmed by the makers in October 2020.there is no clear information on the storyline or the new film’s plot. Still, for now, it is only a great thing that it is coming. Hopes are so high for the story and everything else.
Insidious (2010)
It is the very first film of the series, and it was released on September 14, 2010. The film’s focus is a couple of Josh and Renai’s son Dalton after his treatment is shifted to his home. The family starts experiencing unexpected paranormal activities in their house.
Insidious: Chapter 2
It is the second film of the series, which was released on September 13, 2013. In this film, Renai is interrogated by the cops about the paranormal activities in the house. The police start investigating the house, and the family moves out to the other place, and there too, they experience this same thing happening.
Insidious: Chapter 3
It is the third in the series, which was released on June 5, 2015. This film focuses on a new family and a new story, so it is not connected to the last film’s end scene.
Insidious: The Last Key
This is the last now in the series, and it was released on January 5, 2018. It may be released in the title as the last key, but this is the second film in the order of the story.
Watch it or Skip it
It is a bit confusing as the last film is the second one in the storyline’s chronological order. But is it not like that we have to watch it in the order as in every film’s starting the flashbacks are provided so that we can get a quick recap of what it was in the last film. All the movies engage in the part of the storyline, execution, picturization, and everything, and the best part is that it is not an adult film. So it is such a good series for all the horror, science fiction, and supernatural lovers.
At last, the whole insidious series are worth watching as they all are packed with the horror and supernatural stuff. And if you are a horror lover, it will be so good to watch all four films, and the fifth edition will be three soon, so the excitement level is doubled up.
