How Did The Pair First Meet?
In 2011, during the late winters, one of her friends texted Jessie that she was out on dinner with a guy she is currently seeing, and this other guy did also show up, who is practically beyond stunning.
Hence, Jessie and Eric got introduced to each other via familiar friends. They exchanged each other’s photos and initially progressed through the digital conversation. Once they were five weeks into knowing each other from afar, Eric decided to “self-invite” himself to come to see Jessie in Nashville.
Initially, Jessie was a bit nervous, so much so that she cancelled his flight. To her, the entire thing seemed to be a bit creepy at first. Eric believed that he needed something beyond the “cyber-relationship.”
However, they did meet up later, and since the pair shared a connection and vibes, they hit it off straight away. The instant connection made Eric Decker take a move instantly. Thus, he asked her to be his girlfriend on his way back to the airport. The proposal was just like an eighth-grader, Jessie recalled.
When Did They Get Engaged?
After they entered into a relationship, the movie was swift for them. The two ultra-hotties had recently celebrated their one year of togetherness. And as they had planned to attend ACM Awards in Las Vegas, Eric decided to pop the question.
After the engagement news became publically known, Jessie remarked that “Eric is a great man” and called him her soulmate. The proposal took place in April 2012. Jessie said that they are fortunate to have found their way to each other.
When Did They Get Married?
Wedding bells chimed soon after in the following year. On June 22, 2013, Eric Decker and Jessica James decided to take the marriage vow and tie the knot. The marriage had taken place at a beautiful ceremony held in Castle Cliff Estate, St. Francis of Assisi in Castle Rock, CO. The filming and documentation of their ceremony were carried out, which was revealed during their reality show, E! series.
When Did They Embrace Parenthood?
Three months into their marriage, the pair found that they were pregnant with their first child. Jessie recalls when she did a pregnancy test, and Eric didn’t believe it. She then did it again in front of him, and when it dawned upon him, he was happy beyond any bounds.
The first pregnancy announcement was made in September 2013, and they welcomed their baby girl, Vivianne Rose Decker, on March 18, 2014. Just 18 months after Viv’s birth, on September 3, 2015, they welcomed their son Eric Thomas Decker II. In March 2018, the third baby Decker was due, and their second son, Forrest, took birth. They are now proud parents of three.
More than ten years after their first introduction, the couple is still growing strong, and no doubt they define what we say as “#relationshipgoals.”
