On February 15, 2022, the press conference revealed that Zoe Saldaña, seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, will be there in the drama series Lioness. She will even be the executive producer of the series. Lioness is a drama series based on a real-life CIA program. Nicole Kidman will join the series as well as the executive producer.

Nicole Kidman has won 8 Emmy Awards out of 16 nominations for Blossom Films, which was attached to the show Big Little Lies of HBO. 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios will be seen to produce the film.

Zoe Saldana is a remarkable actress who has worked for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the movie Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 as the daughter of Thanos, Gatorade. She is well known for acting in Avengers: Infinity War as well. Gamora will be seen in a different timeline in Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, which will release in theaters on May 5, 2023. She has been in the famous and successful movie called Avatar, which the audience praised.

Lioness will be a worthwhile kind of series because Zoe Saldana will break her pattern of working in MCU and playing fictional characters only. She will be seen as a fierce warrior in Lioness. Her acting skills will be new to the audience but surely epic because she is doing a series based on real-life incidents. It will be worth the wait as Gamora is peeling off her character for you.

Is Lioness Based on a Real-Life CIA Program?

Lioness is a real-life documentary series. It is based on a military program. In the series, an operation takes place in Afghanistan and in Iraq, where a team of women soldiers takes both the marine and army Infantrymen with them even though the official policy expects the women to stay on the safe ground and not on the direct ground regardless of how well and bravely they perform with danger and fire.

To grow out of this policy, the women are either sent in support or are attached to the ground unit temporarily. They are not given an official combat role. The Lioness team will be seen to befriend a terrorist’s daughter to bring the organization to an end by following the Marine recruitment. Reports say Saldaña will be seen to play Joe, a hard-nosed, strong-willed, tasked with training, CIA’s Team Lion station chief.

She will be leading and managing her female undercover operatives so that she succeeds in assassinating the world’s most dangerous and horrible terrorists alive out there.

What are the Cast and Crew of Lioness?

Zoe Saldaña from Avengers: Infinity War and Avatar has been cast as the main lead for the series. The actor is also producing the series with Nicole Kidman as an executive producer. Some of the other executive producers are Tom Brady, Sheridan, and David C Glasser, who are the executive producers for the series Lioness. Blossom Films is the production company for Lioness.

Where and When will Lioness Premiere?

Lioness as a series production will begin in June 2022. The release date is yet to be confirmed, but it’s surely happening. It will surely premiere on Paramount+ as of now. This doesn’t mean that it won’t be available on other platforms because if the audience showed their love for it, other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu would also add it to their list.
