Melissa, on a talk show, further talked about the idea and regretted not listening to a mom regarding the retrieval of eggs in the ’30s
She said in an interview that “sometimes it feels like I’m making the right decision in a certain way, but I can’t say it is decisive and reasonable, and sometimes I think it’s the right decision. I’m not taking it lightly, but I would say I’m about 80 percent there” Melissa further revealed one should consider many factors as there are tons of circumstances to look into while deciding between the adoption like maybe it is not reasonable for a child to have old parents at a young age.
In the same interview, the actor further said, “she should have listened to her mother when she advised her to freeze her eggs in her later 30’s. She always knew how much she wanted to have a child to live and prosper, but unfortunately, she didn’t do it” The actor’s mom died in September 2014 at the age of 81, further advised her to freeze her eggs many years ago so that she could get pregnant.
Melissa further revealed that her friends are too supportive of her decision regarding the same; they are like, “You lost your mind.” We’re all in the place in our lives where our children are all just getting out” Melissa further recalled saying to host Caroline Stanbury that she would love to have a child to give that child a better life and for that, she doesn’t think she has to get married first, marriage is not the only way to become the mother.
