Netflix’s Spiderhead 2: What We Know So Far?

Netflix has a long back habit and history of creating sequels, though this was not expected, just like the Sahara rain.

But this time, things are different.

Netflix is expectedly not presenting Us with the sequel of the “Spiderhead” by Joseph Kosinski. Netflix is coming with “Spiderhead 2″.

About Spiderhead :

Spiderhead is an action thriller fiction movie by Joseph Kosinski. The film is based on the dystopian story by George Saunders, ” Escape from Spiderhead. ”

The story delineates a scientific experiment that detects the effects of the drugs they called emotionalism. The test dummies were prisoners of the state seeking to reduce their death sentence. The investigation is to do daily drug trials and test runs of various medications on the prisoners, to report all distorting their emotions and understanding of their surroundings. The policy is to be observed by the seemingly thoughtful and hospitable Steve Abnesti and his assistant, Mark.

One of those drugs for trial was “Love Drug. ” It aims to test the relationship between the prisoners. One of the prisoners, Jeff, who was still not over from his pain and guilt of killing his friend due to his mistake, was appointed by Steve to give the drugs to the chosen prisoners. Still, eventually, the truth comes in front of him when his fellow mate Heather commits suicide due to these drugs.

That’s when the truth of this evil scientist comes in front of Jeff. Steve is fooling everybody around him, and behind the good Nobel look, he is carrying out these inhumane experiments. In all these, Jeff explores a romantic relationship with Lizzy; during a talk with Lizzy, it is disclosed that Jeff not only killed his friend in the car accident but his girlfriend as well; Mark becomes suspicious of Steve’s motives and gets to know about the dangerous experiment of Steve. He and Jeff devise a plan because the next experiment will be on Lizzy.

The movie ends with Steve crashing his flying boat into a mountain, probably dying, while Jeff and Lizzy save their own life and ride a motorboat off into the sunset.
