With Darlene and Wyatt dead, the fate of Baby Zeke is still undecided. An angered Javi did kill both Darlene and Wyatt, but to our relief, he didn’t kill baby Zeke. The saddest part about baby Zeke is that the kid has been through a lot since his very birth. The fans of Ozark do know that Pastor Mason Young and his wife Grace were the biological parents of Zeke, but they were soon dead.
After his biological parents’ death, he was briefly taken care by the Byrdes but later, Wendy decides to give him to Darlene. Inspite of Darlene’s anger issues and danger-prone life, we can see throughout season 3 how good a mother she was to Zeke. Her lover, Wyatt, takes better care of Zeke, and together as a family, both succeed in keeping the baby safe regardless of the dangers both of them face in their daily lives.
But if we look from a different point of view, we can see how Darlene was insensitive and ignorant towards her baby’s fate most of the time. Even after being responsible for a child, she continued with her drug business on her farm. She already was at odds with Byrdes, the Navarro Cartel, who weren’t happy with her continuing drug business.
Ruth’s worst fear comes true after hearing about Darlene and her cousin Wyatt’s death. She goes to Darlene’s place to find both of them dead with baby Zeke crying alone. Being in an emotional state of mind, she didn’t think twice before taking baby Zeke along with her in the front seat to confront the killer Javi. At that time, she didn’t realize the extreme danger she was putting baby Zeke in.
Part one ends with this suspense, leaving the viewers wondering and worrying about baby Zeke’s fate. What will happen to baby Zeke? Who will be his caretaker next after Darlene and Wyatt’s death? Do an angry Javi ends up harming baby Zeke too during his confrontation with Ruth? Unfortunately, to find out, we have to wait till the release of the next part of the season.
When will Part Two of Ozark Release?
Part two of season four is expected to release in the very first half of 2022. The production of season two was completed long back in October 2020. In an interview, Jason Bateman, who plays Marty Byrde, said that the official release announcement wasn’t made, but he thinks it will be very soon. It is expected to release during May 2022.
Will There be a Fifth Season of Ozark?
The sad news for the fans is that they have to bid farewell to their favorite crime thriller Netflix original drama after season 4, part two. Netflix declared in June 2021 that the last storyline would be divided into two parts with seven episodes each. So, the show makers should make sure that the show goes off with a blow!
