Before we proceed with giving the details of Peacemaker, we would want to take you back to one of the most loved DC movie, Suicide Squad, where the post-credits reveals that a peacemaker was needed for saving the world. Ring any bells? This movie originally didn’t have anything to do with DC. In fact, the coming of this was announced way before Suicide Squad could come in.
Where Have We Seen The Peacemaker?

We have met a peacemaker in Suicide Squad. He was one amongst those who were chosen by Amanda Waller. Amanda had created this team composed of the bad guys so that they could save the land from the alien invasion. This was done within their time period of punishment so that their loss could not create much of a scene here.
Peacemaker’s Mission
Peacemaker had a mission of his own which was about bringing forward the footage against the US government. And that’s the reason he’s behind bars with these bad guys. He gets shot in the head and goes into a coma too. But at the end of the film, the staff find him out and are eagerly waiting for him to wake up.
What Is This Series About?
What you saw in Suicide Squad is just a glimpse of a peacemaker, so this time the peacemaker will be about him. His origin, his purpose and his motives. And his constant urge to attain peace, no matter how many lives go in that process.
Peacemaker’s Cast
The cast will include certain prominent figures. You’d be seeing the all-time favorite, John Cena, here. He is known for his promising roles in many series and movies. And seeing him there is nothing more but a visual treat.
We would also see Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Christopher Heyerdahl, ChukwudiIwuji, Nhut Le, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang, Alison Araya and Robert Patrick.
Release Date For The Peacemaker
Peacemaker will be released on January 13, 2022. It will be available to watch on HBO Max. What we cannot tell you now is the information about the streaming services plans.
When the announcement was made for the series, it didn’t mention the pattern of release for the episodes, whether it would be released all at one go or it would be released weekly.
