Freeway, a Philadelphia rap legend, has lost his daughter, who died after fighting through cancer at the age of 21.
Freeway Posts About His Adorable Daughter
Freeway paid a heartfelt tribute to his daughter Harmony on Instagram early Sunday morning. The 42 years old rapper captioned a video of his late daughter dancing at her 21st birthday celebration and wrote, “You know the saying sugar and spice and everything lovely, well that’s my Harmony!” He added that he promised that she was the loveliest, most caring, generous, loving, and adorable person he had ever met.
He went on to add that Allah has truly blessed him by bringing her into his. He informed that this video was shot in February of this year, on his late daughter’s 21st birthday, and he also mentioned that he adored her, and the fact that she’s gone hurts so much to him.
Freeway continued that even though she was battling cancer, she was always cheerful and smiling, and she always brightened his day. Lastly, he added that she was honestly his best friend, and he was not sure what he was going to do, and the agony was unbearable.
Freeway Remembers His Daughter
Harmony’s death comes barely a year after Jihad, Freeway’s son, died of complications from an accidental drug overdose. Freeway discussed how his faith has helped him cope with the loss of a kid during an appearance on Jeezy’s The (Re)Session podcast, which was held last November.
He explained that it’s like what he told about Islam and God and that he was not sure where he would be right now if it hadn’t been for that. He went on by saying that it was his faith in God and his comprehension of God that pulled him through. “They say God tests the ones he loves,” Freeway continued and added that God must adore him since he had been bombarded with tests in his life.
