In August 2010, five years after 117 people died at the Balhae Lunar Research Station, the SAA sent a crew to retrieve a substance known as the “Sample.”

Release Date for Season 2 of The Silent Sea
On December 24, 2021, Netflix released the entirety of the first season of ‘The Silent Sea.’ There are eight episodes, each lasting 40-50 minutes in length. Further are the things we are aware of in the forthcoming season. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation yet from Netflix executives or the show’s creators that a second season is in the works.
Given their popularity, South Korean films and shows are likely renewed for another season, especially since they are so well received. Therefore, it is likely that ‘The Silent Sea’ season 2 will release by the end of the fourth quarter of this year or even later if it happens in the next few months.
Who can be a Part of Silent Sea Season 2?
Its steadfast ability to get rid of the main characters is one of the most surprising aspects of the series. The plot device obviously did not prepare viewers for parting ways with people they had grown to know, but it left them with a feeling that no one was safe. Han (Gong Yoo) was the chief casualty among these losses.
The last moment of Gong Yoo is a testament to his selflessness and his determination to save Luna (Kim Shi-ah) and the remaining two crew members. He delivers one of the series’ best performances in the role, which follows his heartbreaking performance in “Train to Busan.” Unfortunately, Captain Han and the others that have been gone can’t be brought again. The return of the series should instead be devoted to Luna.
What will be the Plot of Silent Sea Season 2?
A genetically modified cloned child named Balhae is exposed as having been used to conduct human experiments in season 1. During this experiment, humans were exposed to lunar water in order to find a way to survive. Luna was the only one whose tests resulted in a positive result among all cloned girls. Balhae’s staff would die after exposing themselves to lunar water after being told by the authorities.
To save others of the crew, Captain Han sacrifices his life. We see Luna, Dr. Song, and Dr. Hong rescued at the end of the episode. There may be a war over Luna in season 2. The RX will likely want Luna as well. However, Luna’s life is likely to be happy if Dr. Song helps her. Captain Han’s daughter could hear about Captain Han’s bravery from her at some point.
