Simon Cowell has always been the man of controversies. But, he has always been true to himself. Although earlier this year he had another electric bike accident which made him back on the headlines. The proof of which can be seen on the red carpet of American’s Got Talent season 17.
He was seen wearing a black and grey cast on his hand. Though it has been months since his injury, he has still not recovered fully. He has also had an accident in August 2020 which gave him some severe injuries.
How Did The Accident Happen?
The accident happened on January 24, 2022, when he is riding his electric bike around his house in London. Though the accident happened in January the word came out in February. It has also been revealed that he was not wearing a helmet while riding the bike. The bike slipped on the wet surface and he fell into the corner. The bypassers helped and rushed him to the hospital where his hand was wrapped in a yellow cast.
Luckily, he did not break the ligament of his hand and the cast has now moved only to his wrist. This time he didn’t have to undergo any surgery. He is having a natural recovery and is fine now.
Simon’s Statement On The Accident
Simon said that he misses riding the bike. He feels boring to walk around everywhere. With a bike you can go everywhere is what he said. He also added had it was just a stupid accident and mainly happened because he couldn’t ride the bike. Moreover, he said that now he has been exercising and is recovering at a fast pace.
Has He Had Any Other Accidents?
Yes. In August 2020, he had a dreadful accident. It was also a bike accident and underwent a long surgery as he broke his back in three places. After that, he was on rest as the surgery lasted for almost 5 hours.
