When Calls the Heart is an Ongoing Wester-Drama TV Show. The show is based upon a book of the same name and was developed after a TV Movie was released. The story follows the life of Teacher Elizabeth Taylor. The story progresses as she receives her first classroom assignment in the small rural town of Coal Valley.
Elizabeth who is used to living the high society life must now adapt to the Canadian Ways. As she soon finds out Life at Coal Valley is Simple. But simple does not mean easy. As the name suggests Coal Valley is a mining town.
Disaster struck the town as there was an uncontrolled fatal explosion inside the mine. Which lead to several causalities. Even though such a tragic event happened at the mine people were still forced to work there as there is no other way to produce any income. As the Town Teacher’s salary comes from the revenue produced by the coal mining. The town was later renamed Hope Valley in the second season of the show as the mine is finally closed down.

They are siblings who get separated at a young age when the older siblings get adopted. The story progresses as the once estranged sisters are reunited. And as a result of this much overdue family reunion, the siblings decide to start an Orphanage together. The show takes place in the West Canadian town of Brookfield.
The connection between the two shows is that When Hope Calls is a spin-off series of When Calls the Heart. We are introduced to Lillian and Grace in the Christmas Special Episode of When Calls the Heart titled The Greatest Christmas Blessing.
