The series first premiered in June 2019 and immediately became a popular show. Fans have expressed how relatable the show is with today’s generation, and this is the reason why the show’s popularity touched the skies.

Plot Speculations Explored
The second season of the show premiered in January of this year and has aired seven episodes so far. The show is having eight episodes, and the coming episode of the season is affirmed to be the finale. We have complied many speculations for the eighth episode and also drawn out some of the fan speculations about the same.
As we know, the show is centered around a drug-themed storyline, we can expect a demise of a character before the season ends. There is no confirmed news related to a character’s death but fans assume it to be either Ali or Fezco.
Based on the preview, we can speculate an intense scene between Maddy and Cassie. The preview revealed Cassie screaming her lungs out and a short clip of Maddie chasing Cassie or what it seems from the video. In one scene, Maddy screams, “I’m gonna kill you!” but was it directed at Cassie?
We also see a clip of Rue facing some tough times as she says, “When you died, it didn’t feel real. It felt like a movie, and this is the part where the character never recovers. The part where life takes them down. This is the scene that scars her forever.”
With police sirens wailing and a scene revealing a gunshot, we expect a possible arrest of a character.

Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7’s main story revolves around Lexi’s play which is nothing more than a recreation of scenes from her and her friends’ high school experience. The scenes are so realistic that the characters involved soon realize that the play is about them.
Lexi’s play reveals Rue’s tragic past where the teen who lost her dad is snorting crushed pills in grief. Rue and everyone in the audience look confused as the play is based on their lives.
The play depicts many bittersweet memories of Lexi, Cassie, and Maddy along with an intentional homoerotic scene involving Nate. Nate is terrified after watching the scene as all eyes are on him now. Nate dashes out of the auditorium screaming at Cassie that her sister’s play depicts homophobia and she should get out of his house. Almost everyone from the audience is a part of Lexi’s play.
We find a growing bond between Lexi and Fez. Lexi saves a ticket for Fez but Fez cannot be seen anywhere. But tensions grow as Custer shows up and Faye believes him to cooperate with the police. A scene reveals Ashtray slipping a boxcutter into his pocket. Oblivious to everything happening around him, Fez prepares a bouquet for Lexi.
