7 Prisoners is a Brazillian drama film that premiered on Netflix on November 5, 2021. Alexandre Moratto directs the film. The film was premiered on September 6, 2021, at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Thayana Mantesso is the screenwriter and Alexandre Moratto. The film has received good reviews so far by the critics and has been applauded by the fans as well.

The film’s plotline revolves around a young boy who leaves the countryside to look for a job in Sao Paolo junkyard. However, he falls into an oppressive work system, which seems like slavery. The boy has to decide whether he will keep working under the oppressive regime of his employer or whether he will risk his and his family’s future if he refuses.

The decision lies in his hands. It will be interesting to know what the makers have in store for the audience. The cast of the film includes Christian Malheiros, Rodrigo Santoro, Bruno Rocha, Vitor Julian, Lucas Oranmian, Cecilia Homem de Mello and Dirce Thomas.

The boy has to decide whether he will keep working under the oppressive regime of his employer or whether he will risk his and his family’s future if he refuses. The film is definitely a must-watch, as it depicts a young boy’s will to survive in the harshest situations that he faces and how the complexities of life trap him in the exploitative world out there.
