Yet another person loses his life to drugs. We have lost so many people and celebrities to drugs. Be them wise and humble, or be them rude and arrogant, drugs get a hold of you. We have lost Michael Jackson, Juice WRLD, Prince, Chyna, Keith Moon, and many more. They all kicked the bucket quite early on.
Nick McGlashan was one of the people who died because of a drug overdose. He was a seventh-generation crab fisherman. Nick has been a part Discovery Channel reality show Deadliest Catch. He has appeared in the show for seven long years.
What happened to him?
Nick, who was only 33 years of age, was found lethargic in his lodging on December 27, 2020. He was residing in Holiday Inn. His death was related to a drug overdose, said the officials.
He took a mix of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl and passed out on the bathroom floor.

Deadliest catch suspension
Although he was a part of the Discovery Channel show Deadliest Catch for seven years, he was suspended from the show in the 13th season because of his use of drugs and alcohol. He has appeared in 78 episodes.
Nick was drinking half a gallon of vodka a day. Along with it, he was shooting up one gram of meth and two grams of heroin every single. He overdosed three times before going to rehab in 2016.
He has been sober since then. But later on, he made statements that suggested that he was at war with his addiction, and his addiction won. He added that his mind, body, and spirit were so diseased that he tragically welcomed his death.
He confirmed that going to rehab was the scariest yet the best thing he has ever done. All this shows that he was fighting to get over his addiction. In his last moments also, he tried his best but couldn’t keep fighting.
A two hour special episode
On June 15, 2021, Discovery Channel paid their tributes to Nick and dedicated a two-hour episode to him.
Cameras caught the second when McGlashan’s crewmates educated of the lamentable news. “Wow,” was the quick response from boat chief ‘Wild’ Bill Wichrowski as he got a call toward the beginning of the most recent episode.
The cameras then followed the aftermath and response as McGlashan’s companions and partners attempted to understand the grievous news.
The fans were also shocked to hear the news and showed their love for him all over social media.
