It is indeed rare to actually come across a series that revolves around paranormal drama and horrific cut-scenes that makes you want to sit and watch it till the very end. SurrealEstate is one such Canadian series that premiered in July 2021 on the CTV Sci-Fi channel. It follows a real estate agent who practically handles cases nobody else can. Specifically, they deal in haunted and possessed houses that scare potential buyers away. Struggling with their own demons, they somehow manage the task of ‘researching, investigating and fixing’ issues regarding the same.
Release Date
SurrealEstate Episode 9 is likely to go be aired on 10th September 2021. The show’s fan base is eagerly awaiting the upcoming episode as episode 8 ended on quite an interesting note. In the previous episode, Luke could be seen having some issues with himself. He is keen on quitting the agency after he agrees to conclude with one final task. He soon realizes that there’s something uncanny about the house. It had the person entering the house go back to his 16-year-old self.
As the team enters the house, they all become teenagers; failing to recognize one another. Interacting with beings from the other world became next to impossible as they had lost all their prior skills and power.
Spoilers
The 9th episode is titled “White Wedding.” Whenever the name of the wedding begins with the name of a color (that is too white in this case), we know that it’s not going to end well for anyone. Susan would be working on the wedding preparations in the Donavan residence, and it certainly won’t be an easy task given their eerie case.
Susan performed an exorcism on Megan Donavan when she was possessed. The last episode ended with restless movements around the house, and it’s evident that the supernatural beings are waiting for the right moment to strike again. Clearly, the ones already living in the house are not going to let it all go; they will strike back.
As the show moves on, the specialized team can be seen trying to help house owners sell their property; at times, they are busy getting the house ready for new owners, spending most of their time preventing ghosts from plaguing the house. But would they be able to stay vigilant enough when they’ve got so personally attached to the Donavan’s? What twists would the so-called ‘wedding’ bring in their lives?
Conclusion
Though the entire series hasn’t been aired yet, it has already secured a ranking of 7/10 on IMDb. The show is going to have 10 episodes in total. It is expected to end by the latter half of September itself. SurrealState is easily worth a watch. The variety of ghosts and spirits the show comes up with every new episode and the unpredictable storyline are two factors that work well for luring the audience to tune in every week. SurrealState serves well to all those who’re into supernatural and horror shows.
