The series Riverdale season 5 will release on Netflix on October 14, 2021, as announced by the officials. The series is currently being released regularly on The CW. It is said that Netflix will drop all the episodes together on the streaming platform on the above-mentioned date, as the last episode of the series will air on October 6, on The CW.
Plot
The storyline of the series follows the lives of Archie Andrews, he seems like the perfect guy and has a picture-perfect life, but as the series slowly progresses forward, we get to see the reality. His life really isn’t all that great and calm as it’s shown previously. Along with Archie’s life, we get to see the lives of his next-door neighbor and childhood best friend Betty. Then we see Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones. Veronica is a transfer student with a clean slate in Riverdale. On the other hand, Jughead is totally a very mysterious character who has a ton of secrets.
In the fifth season of the series, we will see the end of their stay at Riverdale High. We’ll get to see the characters leaving their high school and heading towards each of their future lives. A lot of emotional moments will take place with the separation of these friends. What’s headed for them in the future will be revealed in this season. The series also witnesses a time jump after everyone leaves for college. They are all brought back together because of an event in Riverdale.

The 2017 series – Riverdale has the same four main characters that are based on the characters from the famous Archie Comics. We get to see Cole Sprouse playing the character of Jughead Jones, who is also the narrator of the show. We see Lili Reinhart playing the character of Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes playing the character of Veronica Lodge, and KJ Apa playing the character of Archie Andrews.
Apart from the four main characters, we find Vanessa Morgan playing the role of Toni Topaz, Charles Melton playing the role of Reggie Mantle, Madelaine Petsch playing the role of Cheryl Blossom, Casey Cott playing the role of Kevin Keller, and Ashleigh Murray playing the role of Josie McCoy. The one character that did not return for season 5 of the series is Jughead’s father – FP Jones.
All You Should Know Before Watching
The series is a big continuation from the first season, so if this is going to be your first time watching it. Please do start right from the beginning. It will be a total mess if one starts watching the show from the 5th season. The series is an action thriller and a hell of a lot of mystery. So if this kind of genre isn’t your favorite, it wouldn’t amaze you. The show will be available only after the final episode’s airing, so we do have to wait for almost a month before viewing the fifth season.
