The House Arrest Of Us is a Philippine series. The sitcom received a lot of love from its viewers for its lighthearted approach. The Philippine sitcom received an IMDb rating of 7.4. The series started in October 2020 and marked its end in January 2021.

The series was directed by Richard Arellano and is written by Crystal San Miguel, John Leo Garcia, Carmi Raymundo, and Carmel Josine Jacomille. The series has thirteen episodes in its first season. The episodes range from 22 minutes to 30 minutes each episode.

What Do Our Critics Have To Say After Completing Season 1?

The series received criticism that it didn’t have genuine comedy and was trying really hard to achieve the comedy aspect, but failed miserably. It’s also seen that some actors overacted in the series, and it didn’t help in good delivery. The series got criticism that it was a simple plot line stretched out for a series. The story was a simple marriage being made difficult because of the overacting of both their families.

Critics have to say that the series exaggerated the comedy, and it didn’t really get delivered properly. But the jokes did start making sense from the second half of the series. The acting didn’t really make an impact on some viewers.

The House Arrest Of Us is streaming on Netflix. Apart from Netflix, no other streaming platform is streaming this rom-com, drama-filled series. One needs to have a subscription to the platform to view this series. Netflix acquired the rights to stream this series before the series even finished its original run on KTX.ph and iWantTFC.

Worth Watching Or Not?

The basic story of the series is said to be revolving around our main characters who are engaged with each other. The family meets for P;amamanhikan that is known as courtship and is a tradition in the Philippines. The families are stuck together when the government announces a lockdown, and both the families need to stay under one roof with all the laughter and fights.

The series stars Kathryn Bernardo in the role of Queencess and Daniel Padilla in the role of Enrico; these both are the engaged couple. Apart from them, we’ll find many more supporting actors and actresses in the roles of family members of the main characters. The series is a romantic comedy and is a good family watch.

It’s a little slow-paced and sometimes gets the viewers a little bored, but overall it’s a good watch. Some viewers of the series stated that the series was a good watch because of its approach to the current issue of pandemics. To answer if it’s worth watching or not, it can depend on a person’s own perspective of viewing.

Is There A Sequel Planned? Any Updates On the Next Season?

The creators of the series haven’t revealed anything about a sequel or if there is going to be a season two for the series. Fans who watched the series loved it and wished for it to have another season that will go on with a rollercoaster of emotions.
