Drawing inspiration from the manga series by LINK while illustrations were done by Kotaro Shōno of the same name, World’s End Harem, is the anime that has been adapted by AXsiZand Studio Gokumi. The anime was penned by Tatsuya Takahashi, while direction has been helmed by Yū Nobuta.
Designing of the characters has been done by Masaru Koseki, while music will be composed by Shigenobu Ookawa. Set in 2040, the story of the anime revolves around a young man named Reito Mizuhara, who has been put in cryopreservation in order to wait for the development of a cure for his rare illness. But when he awakens five years later, he learns about the outbreak of a virus MK that affects only his gender and the ones who have survived it were the ones put into cryostasis.
He soon finds out that he is among the only five survivors to have developed immunity against the lethal outbreak and thus is required to take part in a program to create offsprings with as many women as possible so that earth could be re-populated. The story follows his journey as he tries to figure out the cause of the outbreak while also finding out his girlfriend’s disappearance.

When Will World’s End Harem Release?
The opening episode of World’s End Harem was actually telecasted this year on October 8, but the remaining episodes were suspended. The makers claimed that a close insight into the production of the anime was required, and hence, the airing was halted.

The anime is set to make its presence on AT-X, Tokyo MX and BS Fuji. Crunchyroll has officially licensed the series for its worldwide airing, as it announced in August this year, except the regions of Asia. For South as well as Southeast Asia, Muse Communication has licensed the anime. The opening well as concluding theme has been performed by H-el-ical and ExiNA, respectively.
