The light novel series In the Land of Leadale, penned by Ceez while Tenmaso is illustrating it, has been picked up for making into the television anime series in the same name by Maho Film, as announced in the Kadokawa Light Novel Expo 2020. Takeyuki Yanase is set to direct this anime. At the same time, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu has done his work on the show’s scripts.
The trio Kaho Deguchi, Toshihide Matsudate and Eri Kojima have looked after the character designing. In contrast, Kujira Yumemi has composed the music of the anime. The premise follows the journey of a girl named Cayna, who lands on the life-supporting system after experiencing a fatal accident. Being unable to move and fully paralyzed, her source of living is the VR named World of Leadale. But soon realizes that her life support is crippling, and the only thing she can remember is the Leadale.
But she wakes up to find that she now owns the body of one of the characters in the VR and that 200 years have passed since then. Confused yet curious, she goes on a venture to bond with other characters of the virtual reality. It will be highly interesting to find out how this journey continues.
