The latest trailer of Moon Knight, according to fans, might fulfill Marvel Universe’s promise and dream of delivering a unique yet interesting storyline. Marvel always has its way of making thrilling movies with superheroes saving the day. In recent years, the best part about marvel movies was that they brought superheroes of different dimensions together, making their movies more exciting.
Marvel has also tried its hands-on making series with its latest WandaVision, which was a sitcom with the usual Marvel adventures and actions. But the uniqueness of WandaVision could not capture the minds of the larger audience as it was expected by its makers. So, to fulfill the unfulfilled promise of WandaVision, Marvel Studios is coming up with its new Moon Knight series.
The story of Moon Knight is derived from the Marvel comics on the Moon Knight. It will be a thrilling, spine-chilling show with a dark psychological concept at its core. The story revolves around a guy named Marc Spector who is struggling with dissociative identity disorder, which is a mental condition in which the patient identifies himself or herself with different personalities at different points of time.
Patients suffering from it are mainly forgetful and unaware of their different personality sets. It was also previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder. But in the fantasy thriller, the reason specified for the condition was that it was because of his brain’s contact with a god named Khonshu, as shown in the comic. His condition was depicted to have worsened with time due to the brain-to-brain contact with Khonshu.

ToggleThe Storyline of the Moon Knight

Born and brought up in a poor family, the protagonist of the show Marc Spector initially worked in the U.S. Marine. But he was forced to leave his job due to his history of degrading mental health. He eventually started working as a mercenary for hire. During his work span of three years, he carried out a lot many assassinations and rescue missions in the African continent.
Unfortunately, his mortal life came to an end when he encountered a villain named Bushman who injured him to death in Egypt. With the last ounces of life left in him, he somehow succeeded in reaching the tomb of God Khonshu and lost his life there.
Khonshu, better known as the Egyptian moon god, encountered Marc’s spirit and promised him to give his mortal life back in exchange for his forever service towards Khonshu. Marc agreed to the condition.
Khonshu also infused his soul with godly powers, which gave him his superhero abilities. Along with the usual superhero strength and powers, he also had the power to absorb or borrow powers from other Marvel superheroes like Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, etc.
As the powers were given by the moon god, he became more powerful at night and especially on the days with a full moon. Maybe due to this, he acquired the fancy name of ‘Moon Knight.’
His connection with Khonshu and other specific details can be understood clearly only after its release.
