Capturing the essence of the present generation, The Fallout is a coming-of-age story that is quite raw and honest. It is an intriguing and heart-touching story of grief and starting over. The main character’s Vada, has a life similar to every other American teenager.

As she thinks that she is in for another normal day, a horrifying school shooting devastates her. When the terrifying incident started to happen, Vada was out of the classroom, finding herself in the bathroom with Mia, an Instagram-famous personality, and Quinton, who is soaked in blood.

It is not easy for Vada to cope with the trauma. Her trauma has psychological implications and physical manifestations as well. The movie unpacks trauma as it singularly focuses on Vada’s life. It explores trauma, grief, and recovery in a very gripping manner. Ortega, in the lead role of Vada, puts forth a fierce performance.

When Vada’s emotions have entered into perpetual limbo after the incident, she is not able to feel and take note of things around her. Watch her journey as she navigates through grief and recovery in the movie.

When Will The Fallout Release?

The Fallout is scheduled to drop later this January. The release date is set for January 27, 2022. It was previously released on March 17, 2021, at South by Southwest. The movie has received a positive response from both critics and viewers. Megan Park, the writer-director of the movie, in her directorial debut, brings out poignant topics as the film navigates through the aftermath of teen trauma.
