The Storyline
The story of Feria: The Darkest Light is set in a beautiful Andalusian Mountain town. The first part of the first episode shows the pitch-black insides of a mine back in 1975 where a man is chained, and it strangely seemed as if the man has accepted what is to come for him. Suddenly, the mangoes up into flames when a stranger and sudden ball of fire with no natural source appears out of nowhere to burn him down to ashes.
The next scene is of 1995, which shows the sisters Eva and Sofia who are excited to have a good day at the local summer festival of their town. The eldest one, Eva, is mainly determined to have a good day as it was to be her last festival in the town because she was about to move to another town for her university. There was a strange negative power in the festival, too and mainly around the two sisters as we witness a dark figure lurking around Sofia while she was swimming in the reservoir.
The following day both the sisters wake up in the terror of their missing parents and unknown officials raiding their home for clues and investigations. They were informed that 23 dead bodies were found near the mine and the cause of death was unknown. The prime suspects were Eva and Sophia’s parents, who went missing at the same time as the incident. It will be later shown how the story doesn’t end with a plain story of murder and deaths and goes way beyond it with not so naive and innocent natives of the town and its history with dangerous cults.
