One important thing to note down is that the episode will actually pick off from where season 7 ended. The confusing part is how they revealed to us that Flash’s Uncle Jay is actually dead in 2049. Godspeed kills him as Bart has to watch it happen. This tragic event and the fact of Jay being married to Dr. Joan Williams will play a big part for the new episode which is taking place in 2049. In short, Jay Garric is alive in the present but dies in the year of 2049.
Iris begins dating Detective Eddie Thawne after Barry ends up in a coma after the post-particle accelerator explosion. Even after Cecile Horton was a DA, she is only seen in the late Season 1. Another huge reveal might be one of the characters who has just been introduced in Legends of Tomorrow.
Episode 5 Recap
The 5th episode brings an end to the Armageddon event. Barry deals with Thawne once and for all. Damien requests for the time stone and Thawne is seen causing a mess at the Central City Police station. With the help of Green Arrow who has come to 2021 to look for her brother, they both disarm Thawne. The team gets divided on the basis of whether they want to Thawne alive or dead.
In their final battle against Thawne, the team regroups. The team gets held up when Barry’s speed starts giving upon him. From the Golden Boots he gets from Chuck, he puts an end to Despero once and for all which then stops Armageddon. He then rushes Thawne to the lab to save him.
