Episode 1, 2, And 3 Recap
In an East Anglian village, a failed witchfinder shows up looking for work. He is desperate for the money and status that a large trial could bring. But all he finds is a distasteful local lady convicted of killing a pig. And while trying his best to make the most out of this minor and extremely insignificant case; he sees a chance that could possibly change his fortunes forever. This is what happens in the very first episode.
Now in the second one, To put up a public trial for the Witchfinder General, Bannister and Thomasine are supposed to move to Chelmsford. But because their detainee is probably the worst possible companion to travel with, he threatens to flip a very simple journey into a life-transforming awful experience.
Much to their unfortunate fate, the raging and ensuing Civil War causes a halt in their path to glory, as they encounter the much angry and irritated Cavaliers. On the other hand, Hebble- the rival to Bannister sets off chasing him.
In the third episode, Bannister was forced to walk through Dedham Vale because of Thomasine’s interventions throwing them off course. The villagers are uncivilized brutes, but he has no other choice if they reach Chelmsford at the right time. Bannister meanwhile makes a desperate attempt to obtain a horse from the villagers in Post lead, however, he ends up participating in horrible festival activities. Meanwhile, Hebble proceeds to get closer to Bannister.
What to Expect From the 4th Episode?
Bannister at this point is extremely scared of Thomasine’s chances of survival while on the crusade to Chelmsford. Thus the episode expects to feature more humorous attempts from Bannister to survive among the Villagers. As per the preview, it seems that Bannister and Thomasine are gonna pose as Husband and Wife to the Villagers so they can survive. Meanwhile it’s obvious that Hebble will be straight on pursuit behind Bannister. Also, it seems that someone from Bannister’s past will be making an appearance.
No doubt the episode will be promising in nature, as the plot itself has created a comedy of errors sort of situation. The charades of pretend to be Husband and Wife will be challenged for both Bannister and Thomasine, thus it will create a situational comedy out of awkwardness.
