The new release date for the anime movie Blue Giant is February 17, 2023. A teaser image has also been made. It was first said that it would come out in 2022.
Some information about the staff was also shared. The jazz movie is being directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, who was in charge of Mob Psycho 100 III and led Mob Psycho 100 and Mob Psycho 100 II. The script was written by NUMBER 8. NUT is making the movie.
What it is all about?
Blue Giant is adapted from the manga written by Shinichi Ishizuka and published between 2013 and 2016. A year later, in 2016, Blue Giant Supreme was released, followed by Blue Giant Explorer in 2020, and that series is still going strong in February 2022, with five tankoubon volumes. Shogakukan is the publisher of all three books, and they were all serialized in Big Comic.

A good movie needs a good director, so the franchise hired Yuzuru Tachikawa to do the job. Death Parade, one of the movies in the Mob Psycho 100 series, was also directed by Tachikawa.
The anime will be made by Studio NUT, which has made fan favourites like Saga of Tanya the Evil, Deca-Dence, and FLCL Alternative. Tachikawa will be in charge of the show. Studio NUT and Tachikawa have worked together before on an anime called “Deca-Dence.”
The movie’s screenplay was written by NUMBER 8, the publisher of the Blue Giant manga. They are also in charge of the story for the Blue Giant Supreme manga, which has the Europe arc of the series.
TOHO Animation has said that the company will sell the film. So, its world premiere will happen soon after it comes out in theatres in Japan.
