Although nothing is known about the narrative of the forthcoming season, Gervais assured of the new season in a brief clip previously released to his Twitter account: “It’s the greatest one yet, and I swear the dog doesn’t die.” Then, thank heavens for that. A new poster depicting Gervais’ Tony and his loving German Shepherd, Brandy, which Tony often leans on in his time of need, has been released by Netflix.

Season 3 of After Life will premiere on Netflix worldwide on January 14, 2022, according to the confirmation received on December 14, 2021. Furthermore, Ricky Gervais is in the middle of a multi-year first-look agreement with Netflix. The agreement was reached in July of this year.

Following Life and Humanity were both released as part of the arrangement, and there are at least two more projects in the works after the third season of After Life. Ricky joked about a third season or, like he did with several of his earlier series, a one-off special when he first announced the arrangement. “I do,” he remarked, “unless I can get some of the cast to help me write the third season and simply show up.”
What to Expect
Let’s go through the last events of season 2 swiftly. Tony appears to be recuperating from his loss with each day during the town’s talent contest, but he suffers another setback before the conclusion of season 2. His father, played by David Bradley, succumbs to dementia in the nursing home. We expect a proper funeral to take place in season 3 at some time.
Matt’s marriage appears to have been patched up during season 2, although whether or not it will endure might be addressed more in the future. Ideally, the local newspaper’s continuance and survival would be the key underlying narrative for a third season. Tony assured Sandy that the publication would continue, and he appeared to enjoy having a new reason for living.
We’ll also witness how Tony deals with the death of his father, as well as how his relationship with Emma blooms (or burns out, as the case may be) when her name was eventually disclosed in season 2. Of course, most of what we know about the cast is speculative at this point. We may expect further memories via Tony’s laptop, as well as the introduction of new individuals.
Cast

You can count on all of your favorite members of the show’s cast to return for a third season, including Penelope Wilton as Tony, Ricky Gervais playing the part of Anne, Ashley Jensen as Emma, Tony Way (Matt), Tom Basden (Lenny), David Earl who is a writer living in the United States (Brian) and many previous names.
A Goodbye
Ricky Gervais’ series are frequently canceled after two or three seasons, and After Life will be no exception. According to the Mirror, Ricky Gervais has stated that season four will not be coming. Gervais has previously stated that he has already set up in his head that the program would not be renewed for a fourth season, implying that the viewers may claim they want a new season but are unsure.
