ToggleWhere Has Orient Cour 1 Left Off?

The first part of Orient that aired from January to March dealt with Musashi’s many realizations about the injustice around him, his promise with friend Kojirou who struggles to decide what his honor will allow him. We saw Musashi explore the extent of his power, his strength, and his fighting ability, while simultaneously seeking out a journey that will allow him to do good for his people and defeat the evil demons that enslave humanity.
With the Daito Mine arc coming to an end, Part 1 concluded with many loose threads- making us all the more excited to find out where Musashi will go next. The cliffhanger at the end has left us wanting more- but will Orient deliver?
What Can We Expect From Cour 2?
The source material for Orient is endless- the manga is still ongoing. Only a small portion of the storylines is visually adapted in Cour 1. To be exact, there exist 14 volumes of manga, with more than a hundred chapters. Fourteen chapters released in March 2022 itself, bringing the manga to a 121-chapter long print as of now.
With the Daito Mine arc all wrapped up, we can expect the anime to delve into the arc covering the Awaji Island Recapture Operation, which begins from the forty-third chapter of the original manga. The second cour is, therefore, expected to show the many battles surrounding Awaji island, the happenings in and around that eventually build-up to the final battle, and Musashi’s struggle to learn about his power while dealing with his childhood traumas and failures.

How Was the First Part of Orient Received?

Although many fans complained about the first few episodes of Orient being dragged out and uninteresting. Viewership remained steady and was not affected even by the release of Attack on Titan or Demon Slayer did not pose a hit on the number of audiences watching the series.
