The show was originally adapted in 2013, and the only item that has remained the same over the duration of the program’s 8-year run is the elderly man Storyteller and the sensations we get from the beautifully recounted horrific stories.

More About the Anime Show
The first season of this anime was aired in Tokyo in July 2013. So far, the amine has completed over more than 90 episodes. The horror animation was also adapted into a live-action film, which premiered in Tokyo in October 2020. The live-action adaptation stayed loyal to the original Yamishibai anime concept by using still pictures of landscapes and art rather than just visuals.
The live-action adaptations reproduced classic animated ghost stories and also developed a few unique items. The plot revolves around a mysterious man wearing a mask who joins the playground where kids play and read terrifying Japanese ghost stories.
