HBO received a remarkable amount of appreciation for ‘ scenes from a marriage ‘ and also for the ‘ marriage story ‘. Well, that’s a green flag for marriage and relationship-oriented movies to make their way now. And probably we’re done with the usual romantic comedy, all we need is the honest stuff. And thus this genre does attract a lot of viewers.
That’s exactly why BBC came up with just another series for your bucket list – Marriage. This series is divided into four parts and the announcement for its arrival was made in May 2021.
Plot For ‘ Marriage ‘
Marriage is sometimes all enclosed in a box, sometimes funny, and sometimes more revealing than it should actually be. This ‘ marriage ‘ sees Ian and Emma, an adorable couple, who have to constantly tackle the various rocky paths that their marriage leads them onto.
It’s been 30 years together. They have a beautiful daughter named Jessica, but does that mean that there is absolutely no trouble in marriage?? Well no, that doesn’t end here. The insecurities and ambiguity, the expectations, hopes, demands, and everything else that sums up to cover this short eight-letter word “ Marriage “. All the blessings and curses that you have to face for this relationship to last long.
Cast for ‘ Marriage ‘
If you’ve been ardently watching the famous series you’d know about Sean Bean who has aced up his role in ‘ game of thrones ‘, he takes up the role of Ian here. And then we have our lady love from “ Unforgotten “ Nicola Walker taking up the role of Emma.
According to Nicola, this project is very different from others, she’s about to step into a very complicated world through this series but she’s excited about her part.
Apart from the two well-known faces, we have James Bolam who is known for the roles in “ New tricks “ and “ The likely lad “, well here, he isn’t a lad but a father to Emma. Then we have Henry Lloyd-Hughes who is known for his acting skills in “ The inbetweeners “, he would be taking up the role of Emma’s boss here, by the name Jamie. Then we have Jessica, Ian, and Emma’s daughter, which will be played by Chantelle Alle.
The Release Date For the Series
As of now, we’re not aware of the release date because there haven’t been any official announcements. But we’re sure that whenever it’s released, fans can watch it on BBC One or BBC iPlayer.
Is There A Trailer For This?
Sadly, no. Not yet. We’ve just been updated with its plot and cast list, apart from that we’re just as clueless as you are. But we’re sure to get our hands on the trailer soon. And we’d keep you informed about the progress as well. Till then, we’d be waiting, just as you are.
The series has already caught the attention of many. We enjoy movies that share the warmth and love of marriage but what’s not shared are the hardships. And here we have a series allowing you to see through the harsh reality and that’s exactly why it’s worth waiting for.
