The Plot and the Cast
Birds of Paradise revolves around the lives of two friends Kate Sanders, an aspiring ballet dancer, ambitious and gifted, and a mysterious co- dancer Marine Durand, who had recently lost her brother, who committed suicide. Kate comes from an average income background and has been granted a scholarship to attend an elite ballet school based in Paris. The institution is internationally renowned, and Kate faces tremendous competition there, and Marine tests her emotions.
While tumultuous in the beginning, Marine and Kate’s friendship evolves into an emotionally charged relationship fueled by a competitive union and sexual awakening. Their relationship soon turns problematic with immense competition as both the dancers compete with each other to win the ballet academy’s competition to win the contract to the Opera national de Paris.
It will be interesting to see how the makers have tried to put forth the complex relationship between the two friends and what they have in store for the audience. The main cast of Birds of Paradise includes Diana Silvers, who will be portraying the role of Kate Sanders, and Kristine Froseth, who will be playing the character of Marine Durand.
Though not much is known about all the cast members yet, it is sure that Jacqueline Bisset and Stav Strashko will be joining the lead pair in the film. The trailer surely loos promising, and it will be interesting to know what else the makers have in store for the audience in Birds of Paradise.
