In the seventh episode, we saw how Junior dubbed Dre a “valley dad” in the series, prompting the Johnson patriarch to bring the people to Compton to explain where he came from. However, while Dre had an internal conflict, Bow attempted to include the kids in some much-needed volunteer activity to teach them the actual meaning of donating during the festive period.
In the end, each parent concluded that battling who they are or where they came from was pointless, and Dre accepted the reality that he had migrated to the good life and was now supplying for his children’s comfort, which was more than enough.
