Shows like Army of the Dead, Fear Street and His House have proved the same in the past. In an interview with Daily Dead, Peter Thorwarth said that he’s currently working on his next project.
On being further inquired about the possibilities of Blood Red Sky 2, he said that he’s looking for a next challenge and that he’s done it already. Blood Red Sky has left many questions answered, tapping the possibility of a sequel. However, there are slight chances of the sequel proving disappointing to the audiences. It would likely be difficult to hold onto the same storyline and meet the expectations of its fans.
There’s also a fair risk of deviating from the storyline. If a sequel is made then, the makers will have to keep in their minds that a balance has to be maintained so that the story doesn’t die.

Currently, the project hasn’t been finalized, so we can’t say anything about the release date. Since Thorwarth is currently working on some other project, if Blood Red Sky 2 is ever made, it needs a new filmmaker to develop a proper script. Looking at the reviews and ratings of the movie, it is quite clear that audiences have showered their love for the movie. We hope that a sequel gets made, and if that happens, we can expect it to come by 2023.
