Cobra Kai is a series packed with martial arts, comedy, action, and a lot of drama. It is a sequel to the famous film series The Karate Kid that released its first film in 1984. The storyline of the series follows the rivalry between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. The series is set thirty years later, where Johnny is unemployed and miserable while Daniel lives a lavish lifestyle. To give you context, Daniel and Johnny go against each other thirty years back, and Daniel defeats Johnny.
At present, Johnny saves a kid that was bullied and finds inspiration to reopen Cobra Kai Dojo. The reopening of Cobra Kai also opens up past misunderstandings between Daniel and Johnny. Daniel’s life seems all bright and beautiful from the outside, but he is devastated by the death of his mentor – Mr. Miyagi, and he cannot overcome his death.
