What Is The Documentary About?
The frightening true-crime story covered in the documentary Dead Asleep will definitely make you afraid to even go to sleep. Randy Herman Jr. had claimed that when he murdered Brooke Preston, his best friend by stabbing 25 times, he was sleepwalking. After committing the murder, he had also called 911 to immediately report it, which may seem to make this case an open-and-shut one. But, things are not so straightforward.
The entire sequence of events had left Randy utterly confused, and he does not have any memory of things. Joe Walsh, public defender feels that there’s more to the case than what meets the eye.
