This is an amazing science fiction and thriller movie. And that’s definitely not the type of genre that will be everyone’s favorite but for those of you who are familiar with it, get ready for your ultimate visual treat. The movie was released this year on December 3.
What Is The Movie About?
As the title itself suggests, it begins with a great deal of suspense, a comet approaching the earth at a great speed, and on the other hand, we see a mosquito sucking the blood from a human but at the same time infecting it too.
The story then takes you to Malik Khan, who is working in the US Marine. He has two sons named Jay and Bobby, and he writes to them frequently. As stated in those writings, we get to know about a secret mission that Malik had undertaken and which was about the organisms seen before. It’s been two years since that mission.
Malik’s wife, Piya, has a new partner named Dylan. The two kids stay with the mother, and Piya is sick most of the time to which Dylan states that it’s a minor bug issue.
Malik Tries To Meet His Sons
Malik visits his children one night at a very odd hour, and he takes them on a road trip. Jay does notice some chaos in the kitchen and while on the road, but when they see some police vehicles on the road, the father tries to hide the children.
Later we see Malik being pulled over by a cop, and no matter how polite Malik is, the cop is equally harsh and cruel. But after knocking down the cop, he informs his kids that it’s not just a mere road trip but a rescue mission.
What Did Malik Rescue His Kids From?
He informs his kids about a dangerous parasite that has taken over the earth, and now it has affected their mother too. These parasites use the human body to take their generation ahead, and most of the planet would be affected by it. He needs to keep his sons safe, and he hands them a bug spray to keep them safe.
Doubts On Malik
In a grocery store, Jay realizes that Bobby is not with him and Malik is aware of the numerous pairs of eyes on him. And that’s when it’s revealed to him that his ex-wife is pregnant. He asks Hattie to check on his wife. Hattie is in the law enforcement department, and she usually tries to save the kids.
Later in the movie, we learn about Malik being removed from the Marine Corps, and maybe he’s just planning to kill his kids and eventually kill himself.
