Erax on Netflix will be available soon, this February 17, 2022. It is a short movie, full of mysterious occurring. Erax is a fantasy drama, and it is a part of Netflix’s February outings. In addition, Netflix aims to launch another rising wave of marquee filmmakers in its new pipeline program. This catalog of streaming titles will have a special focus on thriller, horror, action, and sci-fi genre.

Under the Emerging Filmmaker Initiative (EFI), it seeks to develop new talent. Erax is a part of this catalog. Henry G.M. Jones serves as the writer of this short fantasy drama, besides Hebru Brantley. Brantley is the director of this movie. The short movie, Erax delves into the fantasy and mystery genre. It encompasses the story of Auntie Opal and Nina, her niece. They come across a mysterious book, which they begin to explore during a sleepover keenly. But, as they open up the book, a portal accidentally becomes active, which starts to bring the Erax creature to life. These creatures are mythical and dangerous.

Auntie Opal and Nina send the mysterious creatures back to the book again before they cause any casualty. The short film Erax comes under the Emerging Filmmaker Initiative. Under EFI, the few chosen filmmakers will be given a pass to enter the film studio domain, as they have just begun to initiate their careers.

EFI enabled them to access hands-on experience in the film development pipeline as they paired with various experts. The first class of filmmakers includes Ashley Eakin, and Marielle Woods, besides Brantley, directing Erax. Thus, the entire structure looks promising, and given the interesting premise, one should definitely try it.

Who is in the Cast?

In the lead role of Auntie Opal, the short drama movie stars Jasmine Cephas Jones. She previously won the Primetime Emmy for playing Tyisha in #freerayshawn in 2020. Genesis White will be playing the role of Nina. She is known for starring in Friendship (2021) and Blindfire (2020). Lance Gross is also a part of the cast, but the role is not revealed yet. Nicolette Santino also stars in the movie as Assistant Puppeteer.

When and Where can You Watch Erax?

The first class of filmmakers under EFI will be launching their short movies globally this February 17, 2022. Erax will be available for streaming internationally via the streaming giant Netflix. Of course, it would help if you had a subscription to the streamer to watch the short film. Watch the dangerous Erax creatures come to life and the endeavor of aunt-niece pair to send the creatures back to their origins.
