Jemie Campbell, a teenage boy, lives in a small hometown of Bishop Auckland. It’s his journey of accepting who he is, Besides all the brutal comments of the insensitive people around him. Only the accepted that he was gay in his teenage years and wanted to be a drag queen. It’s said that the change starts from within, and the same happened with him too. He was made to feel disgusted not only by the strangers but his parent too.
However, his mother was quite a fierce one who never let him down and encouraged him at each and every step of his life. She said to everyone one thing all the time that if any girl can wear a suit to the prom, then why does a guy get restricted from wearing a frock.

This light-hearted musical comedy first began its life on the stage in 2017. A decade before that, it was a TV documentary about the real-life story of a teenager who wanted to pursue the career of his choice and wanted to become a drag queen. It is an adaptation of the great West End show, which was based on the 2011 documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16.
