January 28 should be marked on our calendars because creators Carlos Montero and Agustin Martinez are coming together for an epic Spanish horror thriller- Feria: The darkest light. The original title of this show is Feria: La luz más oscura. The show will be produced by Spain’s leading production house Filmax and directed by award-winning directors Jorge Dorado and Carles Torrens.
The story revolves around two sisters- Eva and Sofia, who discover that their parents killed 23 people before disappearing. So they set out in search of all the clues and discover some really dark secrets of the people of Feria and how they cope up with it. So now comes the main question: Where and when can we stream it? Stay tuned to find out.
Where and When Can You Stream It?
The show is an exclusive deal with Netflix, so it’s safe to say it will be available on Netflix from January 28, 2022. But the main question- Is it available somewhere else? Unfortunately, the answer is NO for now. But shortly, we can expect to see it on Peacock TV Network.
What to Know Before Watching?
Trigger Warning: Horror. The show’s trailer was so interesting that it gave us one piece of advice- It is not for faint-hearted. Since the story revolves around killing and murder, those who can watch it can do, but your safety is your responsibility. The show is set during the 90s in the town of Feria, a town in the Andalusia region of Spain, and also horrors of a cult, mass killing, ghost interaction, suicide, murder attempt, and many more.
If you are a horror series lover, you can surely watch it. Or else you can watch with someone who is not as faint-hearted as you. The co-creator Montero also said to the viewers in his recent interaction with Variety that there would be a minimum of 2 seasons of the show. So it means we can expect the horror to be carried forward.
He also stated that Spain has been a home for horror TV shows, but never sci-fi or fantasy since it was never used. But Netflix is allowing them to mix the genres. This is because pure genres are already very low nowadays, and they would like to give the audience what they think will work.
The co-creator Martinez also said that they wanted to work with the best, and the most important part of any filming is the cast, and they’re lucky to find such an amazing crew to work with. It is a one-in-a-kind show with award-winning artists, producers, directors, and a storyline, plus the trailer has set the bars very high for all the viewers and audience. We are expecting the best from the best. Hope the expectations are met.
