Food is one thing a person can’t live without; it’s a part of our daily lives and keeps us and our day going. There are various options for you to choose from and eat from in today’s world. In addition, many people like listening to music while enjoying their food. Let it be slow or fast, jazz, hip-hop, punk, etc.; with the possibilities being infinite, there are an unlimited number of options for you to choose from.

Now, it’s the basic urge for a human to try out new things and explore things to feed his curiosity. Let us take, for example, creating music with food. Yes, music with food is exactly what we are talking about, and the new Flux Gourmet trailer has actually shown us that it is possible.

Summary

The trailer starts off with our 3 main characters waking up and standing in front of a table full of food and electronic devices. Which are meant to capture the minute sounds created by them. Jan’s voice is heard in the background, giving us a hint of how she is the head of the institute overlooking everything which is happening.

The trailer then shows us various forms of sounds made from different things happening with food and when it meets fire or any other source, which can change its nature. The other half of the trailer then shows how the 3 main characters joined the institute and a bit about their past. However, the scenes after that confuse the viewers as we do not know what is happening and why.

At a point, we see the characters probably giving an audition to join the institute by eating imaginary chocolate, and then we see Billy choking on the imaginary chocolate. The scene then quickly shifts to Elle eating a piece of paper. The scenes after that get very confusing as we see them making music in the weirdest way possible and showcasing their talent in front of people.

In another scene, we see Billy and Elle slapping each other. Finally, the trailer ends with Jan telling the seated members (i.e., the main characters) to come and continue their investigacion into an array of inter-culinary disciplines.

Asa Butterfield, who was born in Islington, London, England, plays the character of Billy Rubin. From the first look at the trailer, it is seen as if Billy is an introverted emo boy who puts his heart into the work he does. Apart from this movie, he has worked in many other famous movies like The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008), Ender’s Game (2013), etc. Gwendoline Christie plays the role of Jan Stevens.

From the trailer, we can agree that she is the one pulling the strings and has a very old and weird sense of fashion. Gwendoline was born in Worthing, West Sussex, England. She was seen in the famous series known as Game of Thrones and also played the role of Commander Lyme in the last two Hunger Games Movies. Ariane Labed is a Greek-born French actress and film director.

She plays the character of Elle Di Elle, who is seen almost throughout the trailer in various scenes. Also, She says how she is afraid of silence from an audience and how she wanted to break it and anything she did for that made that sure thing really important for her. She is also known for her work for the movies like In Fabric (2018) and the Duke of Burgundy (2014).

Richard Bremmer plays Dr. Glock and only come twice in the trailer, once while drinking wine and the other time while being choked. He has also appeared in famous movies like Les Misérables (2012) and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001).

About the Movie

Peter Strickland directed Flux Gourmet. The movie is about a Greek writer who hired to cover a culinary collective. Still, while gaining information over the days, the writer starts suffering from digestive problems and constipation. There are also disputes within the collective, and it’s also that the collective is prone to attacks from another previously rejected group of artists. With all of these aspects put together, the movie’s ending looks nightmarish.

Release Date and What to Expect

The movie is gong to introduced first in the Encounters section of the Berlinale on February 11, 2022, after receiving an invitation. It will also compete for the best film prize in the Encounters section. After viewing the trailer, one can surely expect the movie to be a hell of a ride after all the different things happening in it.

Most of the viewers got confused with what was happening in the trailer. And because of that, they were even more excited for the movie to come out as soon as possible. Furthermore, with Asa Butterfield being one of the movie’s stars, the fans are further excited to see him and the part he will be playing in the movie.
