Fractured (2019) Movie: Should You Stream This Netflix Original or Skip?

Fractured is an American suspense movie. It was released in 2019. Brad Anderson is the director, Alan B. Mc Elroy is the writer, and Neal Edelstein, Mike Macari, and Paul Schiff are the producers. The film was released on September 22, 2019, by Fantastic Fest. On October 11, 2019, it was again released by Netflix.

Story Plot

After a visit to Joanne’s home, Ray and Joanne, along with their daughter Peri were going back to their home. And they both exchanged a heated conversation about their relationship. Peri was listening to the music, and her music system stopped as its battery was dead. Ray promised her that he would buy new batteries in the next gas station. Then Peri said that she wanted to use the restroom and took a break in a gas station.

Ray didn’t buy the batteries as the cashier only accepted cash and brought only two small liquor bottles. Ray, after returning to the car, said that the shopkeeper didn’t have batteries. Peri lost her compact mirror, so Joanne went to the restroom to check there, and Ray looked searched it in the car. While Ray was busy searching, Peri ran towards a construction site behind a balloon that was stuck on the rebar.

Peri was chased by a street dog and ran towards a pit. To scare the dog, Ray threw a stone towards him, but Peri was fallen into a hole. Ray tries to save Peri but falls into that hole and gets his head injured. Joanne was seeing for Peri’s injuries, and then Ray took her to a nearby hospital. While filling formalities in the hospital, they were asked that if they wanted Peri to be an organ donor, to which they declined. The doctor told them that Peri’s arm was broken and wanted to perform a test for any head injuries.

Joanne took Peri to the scanning lab, and Ray was fallen asleep in the waiting room. Ray, when wakes up couldn’t find Joanne and Peri. He asked the hospital staff, but they refused to see them and said that he came alone to treat his head injury. He was then locked in a room by some security guard. But was escaped from there and took the help of the police officers. After the investigation, it was found that Peri and Joanne didn’t visit the hospital rather, they were dead.

Peri died due to failing in a pit, and Ray pushed Joanne to the pit. In the gas station, it was revealed that Ray’s first wife was dead six years ago. Police found some blood strain near the pit and suspected Ray of his wife’s murder. He was arrested by the police but took a cop’s gun and locked them in a gas station, and went to the hospital’s basement. There he found that Peri was about to donate an organ and but he pulled her. Then it was revealed that everything that happened to Ray was his imagination as he is a psychiatrist patient.
