About the Movie
Gunpowder Milkshake has been directed by Navot Papushado, who is known for writing Big Bad Wolves in 2013. He has a splendid understanding of movies, with exceptional directing abilities. But even a guy like him could not save this film. Gunpowder Milkshake is like multiple action movies such as Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2, Bad Times at the El Royale, and Leon mushed together. As a result, there was nothing special about it.

The film’s plot is Sam (Karren Gilan), an assassin’s daughter, and she followed the same path that her mother took; she was in Nathan’s care for the last 25 years. Nathan was a manager for The Firm. When Sam messed up one of the works assigned by The Firm, they threw her into the wolves. Sam was furious about this act, and she went for an act of all-out revenge.
The film had several plotholes, and it ended up tying itself in knots because several scenes of the film did not have any logic, and they were not connected to the film, and it ended up creating a hole in the plot. The film would disappoint you, considering it showcases a power-packed group of female entertainers. The film ended up choking itself when it started to display feminism which led to faulty comparisons and made the film more unbearable.
The film seemed to be more like a “John Wick but with ladies” where the cutting through layers of supporting characters and creating a secret society of assassins, with a library giving guns and kits for their missions, which bore hard resemblance with John Wick. Apart from the plotholes and not using the actresses to their potentials, the film also had shortcomings in their action scenes.
The fight scenes are not filmed well, and they were ugly and rough, it did not have any fluidity or smoothness to it. Moreover, the film seems to be uninterested in the feminity of the characters, which makes it a complete eyesore. However, the music and theme of the movie were well-composed, and the instrumental arrangement was reasonably good in terms of balance which accompanies the scenes makes a good impact.
