Hocus Pocus 2 is in the news again for returning the Sanderson Sisters to screens to cause more trouble in Salem. Fans and audiences have been desperate, which will be available on Disney+ later this year. Part 2 has had its shooting going on since October 2021 and keeping away all possible postponements. In lead Bette Midler, famous actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles in the sequel. Thanks to Jen D’Angelo for penning down Hocus Pocus part 2 and to Hairspray’s Adam Shankman, who sits in the director’s chair. Sadly, Shankman had to leave the helm as he struggled with setting commitments with another Disney sequel set to release this year, called Disenchanted. So replacing Shankman, we have Anne Fletcher as director, keeping Shankman as an executive producer.
Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date: When Will Hocus Pocus 2 Hit The Screens?
As of now, we do not have any fixed concrete date for the release of Hocus Pocus 2. But definitely, the second part of hocus-pocus will come on Disney+ this Autumn in 2022. We get this news from lead actor Bette Midler who tweeted about the show’s return, also stating its arrival on screens in ‘Fall 2022.’ Looking at the kind of movie, the fans and the audience will witness part 2 on Halloween 2022.

We have Bette Midler coming back on screen as Winifred for the lead role, with Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson. Talking about others on the cast members list, we are unsure about their return. Actors in the last film, like Omri Katz for the role of Max Dennison, Thora Birch for Dani Dennison and Vinessa Shaw as Allison, have no confirmation for the return.
Although another confirmed appearance will be of Veep star Sam Richardson, we do not know of in a roll. The cast announcement of the sequel date confirms Doug Jones return as Billy Butcherson, alongside Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham and Belissa Escobedo, who’ll be in the roles of Becca, Cassie and Izzy, respectively.
Hocus Pocus 2 Plot: What Will Hocus Pocus 2 Be About?
From the official announcement that came out last year in May, we learned about the storyline of Hocus Pocus part 2. The sequel will be about three Young women mistakenly bringing back the Sanderson sisters to present-day Salem and stopping those witches from creating trouble and chaos in the world. The plot looks similar to the book sequel that came out in July 2018 and was about Max and Allison’s daughter Poppy, her friend Travis and a girl called Isabella. We cannot be sure if the sequel shows, but let’s wait for some more news on the plot.
