2022 will see Kevin James starring in a new sports comedy on Netflix titled Home Team. Produced by Happy Madison, it would be the production house’s tenth collaboration with the streaming platform. Created by the Kinnane brothers Daniel and Charles, the movie is based on the life of the Ex-New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Paton after his expulsion from the rugby team. Chris Titone and Kieth Blum write the script.

As mentioned above, the Home Team will be available worldwide on Netflix from January 28, Friday.
Is There a Trailer?
The network has released a trailer about a month ago, giving the audience a sneak peek into this sports comedy dealing with a father trying to mend his relationship with his son through the sport they both love the most.
From the first scene, we can expect the comedy to be enthralling and full of scenes that are bound to get the audience into splits. However, I believe comedy is a given when you have Kevin James and Rob Schneider as a part of the cast.
What to Expect from the Movie?
The one-hour thirty-five minutes long movie is loosely based on the life story of the NFL head coach Sean Payton after being suspended from the home leagues for a year. Payton returns back to his hometown and tries to reconnect with his family, particularly his son, who is part of a losing local rugby team called Pop Warner.
He obliviously meets some aversion from his son, who’d been growing up in his absence, and who knows the reason was more cause of his suspension and less for his wanting to reconnect. Then, after a conversation with the local coach at the deli, who tells him how he can actually make amends with his son, Sean joins the team as a visiting coach.
The movie’s story is what happens then and how he motivates and trains this pizza-eating, lazy teenager from 0-40 to champions and is successful in winning back his son’s faith.
Who to Expect in the Movie?
When its a Happy Madison production, one can expect that Kevin James would star in it. For this, he plays the lead role of Sean Payton, the suspended NFL coach. Jackie Sandler, another favorite of the production, also forms the part of the cast as Sean’s wife. Jackie’s relationship with Happy Madison dates back to almost 1999 when she played a part in Deucd Male Gigalow.
Since then, she has been one of the most dependable actors for the company and their most favorite. Twilight fame actor Taylor Lautner is also a part of the movie among the new faces. This would be his third venture with the production house after Grown Ups 2 and The Ridiculous.
Other cast members include Jared Sandler, Rob Schneider, Alan covered, Gary Valentine, Maxwell Simkins, ChrisTitone, Tait Blum, and Isaiah Mustafa.
